Choosing Family Hospice
Family Hospice wants the patient and family to feel comfortable in choosing a hospice program. All Medicare Certified Hospice Programs operate under the same rules and regulations. Family Hospice endeavors to go above and beyond what is required by following the Golden Rule in treating patients and loved ones like Family.
- Our “Family” makes a representative available to meet the patient and family within ONE HOUR of the initial phone call.
- Our “Family” offers Complementary Therapy Programs. Often called alternative therapies, complementary therapies are just that – they complement the effectiveness of traditional medical care. Family Hospice recognizes the value of these therapies as a way to help reduce the effects of fear, worry and stress during the end stages of an illness. Therapies, which are provided without fee for those in the hospice program, may include:
- Massage Therapy
- Music Therapy
- Animal-Assisted Therapy
- Our “Family” HeartLinks Grief Center provides professional counseling and groups for those who are anticipating or struggling with the loss of a loved one.
- Our “Family’s” most recent Family Satisfaction Survey reports an overall satisfaction rating of 92.3% while the State rating is 73.7% and the National rating is 73.5% for the year 2013 per NHPCO.
