Linus Blankets

Linus BlanketThe Linus Blankets of SWIL has been in existence for over 20 years and, as of 2020, has donated in excess of 70,0000 blankets to a variety of organizations in that time.

Fel Copeland started creating and sharing these beautiful blankets in 1997.  With the support of a network of generous volunteers, the program has grown stronger every year since. In 2019 alone, the Linus volunteers delivered 3,168 blankets and with 2020's addition,  the project have exceeded 70,000 blankets delivered.

Fel Copeland and Suzanne Boyle

Family Hospice and Heartlinks Grief Center has supported Fel and her efforts for over 10 years. While in hers 80s, Fel Copeland passed the program on to the next generation of volunteers. Don't worry she's still very active in supporting and training.

Linus Blankets are delivered 4 to 5 times a year supporting various organizations. If you care to create blankets they can be dropped off at Family Hospice and Heartlinks Grief Center Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (Please include your name). Or, if you have a group event that would benefit from one of our speakers, we're happy to come give a talk.
