Your Donation to the Tree of Memories Campaign Makes an Impact
Family Hospice is celebrating 30 years of service to counties in Madison, St. Clair, Randolf and beyond. Each year, the Tree of Memories Campaign takes place during the holiday season and is a wonderful opportunity for the public to support Belleville-based Family Hospice. Its many service programs provide comfort and care to people suffering with life-limiting illness, regardless of their ability to pay. The Tree of Memories Campaign supports many, many individuals in the community needing one or more of Family Hospice’s compassionate programs.
What is Tree of Memories?
The Tree of Memories Campaign is a fundraising effort that occurs annually, helping to support the various Family Hospice services offered. You can find more information on the Family Hospice website at https://familyhospice.org/about/announcements/tree-of-memories/. A beautiful, uniquely designed ornament is available with every donation made in the amount of $25 or more. Remembrance Angel Ornaments are imprinted with details to include a heart, star, or snowflake. There are more than 10 ornament designs available for purchase, along with personalization options. This year’s keepsake ornament is holding the word “Peace” in a heart.
What does Tree of Memories Support?
Some of the programs supported by the campaign include Heartlinks Grief Center, a grief support center that offers hope for people grieving in the community. Pet therapy, music therapy and more is also possible because of the Tree of Memories campaign donations. Another Family Hospice program, Linus Blankets, provides new, quilted, crocheted, knitted or tied comforters to babies and children who are seriously ill or in need of comfort that a blanket can provide. The program is run by volunteers, wanting to make a difference in the lives of children in Southwestern Illinois.
Every donation helps support Family Hospice and ornament purchases along with donations can be made year-round simply by visiting the Family Hospice website at https://familyhospice.org/. During the holiday, a kiosk is located at St. Clair Square in Fairview Heights to purchase ornaments. The kiosk will be open through December 22nd, 2021, from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Individuals can also purchase Tree of Memories ornaments at the Family Hospice office located at 5110 West Main Street, Belleville, IL 62226.
