“Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless. " ~Sherry Anderson
Family Hospice currently has more than 150 individuals volunteering over 4,500 hours each year. These volunteers live in our communities and are dedicated to furthering the mission of hospice. We truly value our volunteers and the passion they bring to Family Hospice.
Patient Volunteers
Do you enjoy listening to fascinating life stories?
Do you feel peaceful holding the hand of someone in need?
Do you enjoy cooking or performing handyman tasks?
If so, you have what it takes to volunteer with hospice patients!
Our patient volunteers provide companionship, as well as respite, for patients and family members. The above are but a few examples of services provided by volunteers.
Non-Patient Volunteers
Administrative - assist with office duties, such as data entry, paperwork, and bulk mailings.
Events - staff and help plan various community events.
Heartlinks Grief Center - assist with support groups and networking activities for children and youth. Volunteers also help with office work, fund-raising, and programming.
